PROJECTS
Current and recently completed projects.
The team is currently working on the conceptual model of a completely renewable house. The foundation system will be renewable as will the superstructure
We are also involved in the design of houses of some 1,600 sq m in size with double basements, all in highly shrinkable London Clay. Drainage is particularly difficult in this area.
We are proud to have been involved in the design of new surgery facilities at the Chelsea Royal Marsden Hospital. This includes a steel framed dogleg cantilever staircase over a void of three floors.
A staff member of 90Kg hanging on the end of the cantilever carried out a non-destructive test on the steel frame. Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth was due to attend the opening ceremony and we were very aware of the limits of our PI.
We were involved in the design and construction of the new headquarters of Gold Group International and contrary to opinion successfully utilised ground consolidation treatment for the foundation system saving our client £36,000.00 in construction costs.
Housing Association work is also a mainstay of the practice working predominately in the design and build sector.
